Perception vs Reality

Most people’s perception of things can keep them from experiencing what’s real. The thought process of every individual varies which gives us a greater perspective of things; however, it doesn’t mean that your perception meets reality.

Often times one’s perception does hit the target. It doesn’t mean that there can’t be any validity to what one thinks, it only means that there is a chance that what you perceive may not be true.

Reality deals with what actually is as opposed to an idealistic or notional idea of them.

Perception allows one to go on their own understanding, or interpretation.

I’ve experienced instances where no matter what was being said, proven or taught people would only hold on to their perception which in my opinion has limited or failed them.

Failing to give yourself the opportunity to be open stagnates your growth. Sometimes people will perceive a person to be one way even though the person themselves says different or if the reality states differently.

Let’s be honest “reality is often disappointing” but it is what it is, we just have to face that. It’s not about giving up the opportunity to have your own view, which is definitely your right. What it’s really about is being open to more, to learning, to growing to having a broader view which is necessary. Reality is bigger than dreaming but sometimes harder to face than anything else.

Reality includes everything that is and has been whether or not it is observable or comprehensible. Reality it what is whether good or bad. Reality will make you work harder or pull back, it gives you the option to make sound decisions; even the hard ones. So as you journey through life be open to great possibilities, yet excepting of your right to have your own views and aware enough to face what really may be. Don’t be blinded by your thoughts or shielded by your perception; allow yourself to live in what is and what will be. It will help you prepare for today, tomorrow and for your future. That’s a good thing!!
